but something didn't sit with me just right. and i never really thought about it until i saw the documentary paul mccartney really is dead the last testament of george harrison.
what didn't sit right with me was paul. its like i noticed all these differences but didn't really NOTICE them until i saw the movie, and it all clicked in my head. you hear about paul being dead, but then you look at them and say "no he's not, he's right there."
i watch a lot of documentaries (which might make me sound like leslie knope, but i'm not complaining). documentaries make really good points, but they're also totally biased, so if i watch one i'm not going to go change my life cuz of some movie i saw. and first off, the man who made the movie starts off with saying "we've done forensic voice testing on these tapes and it has all been inconclusive." also, it's very obviously re-recorded, most likely for audibility purposes.
but i looked into it. i've researched it on the internet. it's been a while now since i first watched it and i still think about it a lot during each day.
james paul mccartney is said to have died in a car crash, which decapitated him and blew up, in 1966, after the whole "we're bigger than jesus" thing went off. he and john had an argument in the studio and paul took off. that was the last time they saw him alive. then the whole "who looks like paul mccartney contest" came out but i guess no no heard of the winner. it was this guy.
this is billy campbell. this is his canadian passport photo he entered in the look-alike contest. it is also featured in the photo collage on the white album. he is also 6 years older than paul mccarteny. he will here on be referred to at "faul."
everyone knows that there's hidden messages in songs. the most classic one in "i am the walrus" where there is chanting at the end "smoke pot smoke pot everybody smoke pot." but what about the album covers? maybe the cover of abbey road is more obvious because they're all dressed like some part of a funeral procession, and paul being the corpse with a suit and bare feet. but one thing that always didn't set well with me was the sgt pepper's album cover.
okay so this might be a little pixellated, but just look at the beatles quartet next to the center beatles in uniform. what the fuck are they doing there? they look creepy. it is said "they're wax figures" but have you ever seen a depressed wax figure? they're in mourning. this is a gravesite.
also, look at paul in black. he's not much taller than the other three. now look at him in blue. he pretty much towers above them.
the group of people there are all people who have died already, or have claimed to have almost died. also, what's with that creepy doll in the right side with a skeleton around her? and did you notice the yellow flowers below the work beatles? #1 it's in the shape of paul's famous bass. #2 it spells the word paul, playing out the word above it "hear lies." it's there, i promise you.
moving on. on most of the album covers to follow, paul is looking away from where the rest of the group is looking, or boarded by a different color (i.e. let it be.)
here is revolver.

okay, there's a photo of paul screaming. he's looking away. john is looking at him sideways. there's some guy coming out of paul's ear, as if to say "listen closely." also, THEY'RE DRAWN. after 1966 they STOPPED TOURING. and paul's voice sounds distorted.
and then there's eleanor rigby, a song about paul's funeral. yellow submarine, a song about coffins. i'm only sleeping? that's what paul looked like when they saw his dead body.
and you never see song written just by lennon or mccartney. they're always written by both. because john said he had enough songs they had been working on to get through a while. but all of a sudden george had more songs around.
like while my guitar gently weeps. at the end you hear him crying "paul paul paul paul"
here is a before and after picture of paul and faul. first of all, paul had brown eyes while faul has blueish green eyes. also, look at his bangs. paul grew thick bangs which naturally swept to the right (our left) while faul cant grow full bangs and they flow to the left (our right).
i shared this with a lady i work with because we like to tell each other about documentaries we've watched on netflix (yes, this is on netflix) and she watched it and was upset because "it was so wrong. i can think of about 15 discrepancies, but i cant remember them now. also that wasn't how george put his words together." i would bring up to her the physical differences between paul and faul and she would say she didn't remember that part.
but also paul had hairy hands, where faul did not. there are boards dedicated to this topic. this one has links to others, and also very interesting topics and picture comparisons. i highly suggest you go and check it out, even just for a minute.
paul never had to look at his guitar while playing. he wrote the music, he should know it, right? (this is one thing i dont agree with the docu, cuz it said paul wrote yesterday, when they have footage of paul playing it. but whatever.)
another thing i didn't agree with is that the album Rubber Soul is supposed to have clues about paul's death and yes, he does look weird and distorted, but that album was released in 1965.
i could seriously go on and on about this, since i think about it so much. and for the first time in almost two decades i've had beatles songs stuck in me head. so let me leave you with these foods for thought. this is really just thoughts i've had going through my head about this constantly. this is by no means any kind of official essay or anything, or else i would have so much more evidence and detail.
this is a song faul wrote in 2007 called "Gratitude"
this is a facial comparison done very well.
"here's another clue for you all, the walrus is paul."
"i don't really want to stop the show, so i thought you'd all like to know that a singer's going to sing a song, everyone should go and sing along, so let me introduce to you, the one and only billy shears!...
...what would you do if i sang out of tune would you stand up and walk out on me?..."
billy shears? billy's here?
it seems like the songs with the most hints are sung by faul.
